Dordogne

Venturing through the Dordogne region in Southwest France we visited several producers of food products and wine. An area rich in culture along with many gastronomic delicacies including Foie Gras, Cassolet, Prunes, Cheese, and Wine, of course. Staying in the village of Sarlat, we were surrounded by world famous Foie Gras producers; Rougié, Valette, Godard, Delpeyrat, and more.

Wine is plentiful in this region especially with Bordeaux to the west, however most wine from these growing areas are consumed within the region. Areas such as Bergerac, Cahors, Gaillac, and Fronton are known for crisp minerally whites, delicious rosé's and sturdy, often earthy reds.
