Historic Second Growth has been making wine since the 1600’s. Vines grow in gravel and clay subsoil. Fermented in stainless and barrel (50%). Aged in French oak (75% new) for 20 months. Powerful and complex with coffee, cocoa, black currant and licorice. Full bodied on the palate with great fruit, tannins and structure. 2005 is listed as an exceptional vintage.
